Creative access resource for blind and partially sighted people in collaboration with the National Museum of Wales and Sight Life Wales.
This project was in collaboration with the National Museum of Wales and Sight Life Wales. We created creative access resources for art pieces in the Museum of Cardiff Gallery to help blind and partially sighted people have an accessible art experience.
The piece I chose was "Woman and Child in a Meadow at Bougival" by Morisot.
My creative access resource was a personal interpretation of the painting. Which main focus was the warmth and sweetness of a quotidian moment such as a child (the painter’s daughter) gifting a flower to her nanny in the middle of nature.
The creative access resource consisted of an embroidered bag and a shawl with fabric and artificial flowers.The shawl was crocheted with acrylic wool intended so that it had a different texture that evouques grass and nature.
