About me

I am a Spanish community artist whose focus is doing meaningful and purposeful art for everyone.

My artwork’s distinctive trait is the use of mix media since depending on the purpose of the piece certain materials and techniques are more suitable. Sometimes I represent topics that may need to be an illustration. Other times I just want to create things to be explored with the senses. I even create just for the sake of playing with materials without having any other higher purpose than being present and feeling the textures of the paint and brushes.
The recurring theme in my work is the use of vibrant colours and sensory materials that evoke organic shapes in nature. Abstract painting is a medium that allows me to explore this and directly get in touch with the inherently sensory experience that is the action of creation.
In my practice I like to use my knowledge of the different media I use to design workshops attending to participants needs and interest. This enables me to provide accessible activities that can be easily done in their own time. Art is something everyone should be able to enjoy no matter their background. As a practitioner I believe is important to first provide participants with a safe and joyful space to explore creativity in a non-judgmental way. Bringing people together into spaces where we can learn from each other to help build communities is my focus and art is the tool I use to facilitate it.
